Lacanilao, nagsagawa ng joint law enforcement operation ang mga tauhan ng LTO, katuwang ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at Aviation Security Unit (AVSEU), laban sa mga colorum at overcharging na taxi sa NAIA Complex sa Pasay City.Isinagawa ang operasyon noong Agosto 25, 2026, mula alas-3:00 ng hapon hanggang alas-7:00 ng gabi, bilang bahagi ng pagpapatupad laban sa mga taxi na sangkot sa colorum operation, overcharging, contracting, at pagtangging magbigay ng serbisyo o maghatid ng mga pasahero sa kanilang destinasyon.Sa isinagawang operasyon, kabuuang 11 Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) na taxi ang inisyuhan ng Temporary Operator’s Permit (TOP) dahil sa breach of franchise.Pinangunahan ang operasyon nina Ret. PBGen. Allan C. Nobleza, Director ng Law Enforcement Service (LES), at PMAJ Roderick Francis B. Salem ng Aviation Security Unit (AVSEU)-NCR. Katuwang din sa operasyon ang mga personnel ng Field Enforcement Division (FED) ng LES, sa pangunguna nina STRO Alvin Domingo at TRO Midel S. Timbang, gayundin ang mga personnel ng PCG, sa pangunguna ni PO3 David Arcanghel.“Hindi dapat nagiging pagkakataon ang serbisyo sa pampublikong transportasyon para manlamang o magsamantala sa mga pasahero. Kailangang masiguro natin na ang mga PUVs ay sumusunod sa kanilang prangkisa at nagbibigay ng maayos at patas na serbisyo sa publiko,” pahayag ni Asec. Lacanilao.“Patuloy tayong makikipag-ugnayan sa ating mga katuwang na law enforcement agencies upang matukoy at mapanagot ang mga operator at driver na lumalabag sa mga itinakdang kondisyon ng kanilang prangkisa. Ang bawat pasahero ay may karapatang makatanggap ng ligtas, maayos at nararapat na serbisyo,” dagdag niya.Tiniyak ng LTO na magpapatuloy ang koordinasyon nito sa iba’t ibang law enforcement agencies upang mapalakas ang pagpapatupad ng mga regulasyon sa pampublikong transportasyon, partikular sa mga lugar na mataas ang bilang ng mga pasahero.
