The Land Transportation Office—National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) is further improving its Online Plate Inquiry Project, making it even easier for motorists to check the availability of license plates—whether for brand-new vehicles or replacement plates (transitioning from green to white).
Available through the official LTO-NCR website (www.ltoncr.com), the system allows users to search by Plate Number or Motor Vehicle (MV) File Number. This is particularly useful for motorcycle owners with backlogged plates who may not yet have an assigned plate number listed in their Certificate of Registration (CR).

The Regional Digital Media Public Assistance Office (R-DMPAO), under the leadership of Assistant Regional Director Atty. Dennis P. Barrion spearheaded the latest enhancements in response to public demand.
“The R-DMPAO receives requests regularly, and this is our response to the public. We are doing our best to simplify and make it easier for everyone to check their plates online,” said Atty. Barrion.
Since the project’s launch in February 2024, LTO-NCR has facilitated over 2,000 requests for the delivery of replacement plates to various District and Extension Offices. Some motorists opted to claim their plates at the original office of issuance.
Motorists have welcomed the service enthusiastically, with many sharing positive feedback:
