As part of the Land Transportation Office – National Capital Region (LTO-NCR)’s ongoing efforts to promote safer roads for everyone and keep the public informed about various traffic rules and violations, we remind all Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators to strictly avoid trip cutting—a prohibited practice that negatively impacts commuters and road safety.![]()

- Trip cutting refers to the act of ending a route or trip prematurely, without reaching the authorized destination or terminal. This is often done to save on fuel or to make more trips for higher profit, but it greatly inconveniences passengers and violates transport regulations.![]()
